''Hakea clavata'' is a Western Australian shrub. A common name for the species is Coastal Hakea, the epithet ''clavata'' (Latin) refers to club-shape of the leaves. The shrubby species is spreading or sprawling in habit, up to 2.5 metres wide and 0.5 to 2.0 m in height. The flowers are white and pink, appearing between January and October on the terminals of the branches. It is found near Esperance, Western Australia and southeastern areas of the Southwest Botanical Province.〔 It is endemic to the region. The species was first described in 1804 by Jacques Labillardière in Novae Hollandiae plantarum specimen. Labillardière may have made a type collection when at the Esperance region in December 1792. ==References==
